No Oregon Child Left Inside

The No Child Left Inside Initiative was launched in 2007 in recognition and response to a growing concern students understanding of and engagement with the out of doors.  Subsequent federal legislation sought to provide funding for environmental education for the purpose of ensuring environmental literacy K-12 grade. While federal funding through legislation is still being sought, many states have completed Environmental Literacy Plans, and some are in the development phase.
